Interested in studying at the Kinneret Academic College?

A few words from the Head of Department of Interdisciplinary Studies

    Greetings,

The lecturer staff, department coordinator and I welcome your interest in the Human Resources Management studies B.A. program. By the shores of the beautiful Sea of Galilee, we painstakingly devised a leading study program in human resources management, paying particular attention to professionalism, applicability and a high academic standard, but also vision and creativity.

What is an undergraduate degree in human resources management?

An undergraduate degree in human resources management provides an academic foundation for anyone who intends to engage in (or who already engages in) the field of management of employees and, in particular, human resources management. In addition to the foundation studies and methodologies, which enable managers to scientifically analyze the behavior and attitudes of the organization’s employees in order to lead the organization to success, and the employees to a rewarding career path, the students on the program learn the skills and tools they need for management and, in particular, human resources management in the 21st century. Today, it is evident that the management of people in organizations is a profession in all respects and, based on this understanding, we have devised for you an academic track that incorporates an extraordinary practical approach.

Why should I study human resources management at Kinneret College of the Sea of Galilee?

A combination of work and studies – based on the understanding that, in today’s work arena, it should be possible to combine academic studies with ongoing development of a career and, as such, the track at the college is also tailored to the needs of working people. In view of this, we devised a unique program which also accommodates the needs of students who work during the day. This is the only track in Israel, in human resources management, which operates in this format.

Applicability – the track is special in terms of its applicability. Firstly, most of the lecturers who teach on the track are also academics employed in various fields of the profession, alongside their rich academic activities. This entails a fusion of knowhow and experience which, together, generate professionalism. Secondly, throughout the program, from the first week of studies, the students experience different aspects of human resources. In this respect, throughout their studies, the students attend enrichment lectures from leading lecturers, go to professional workshops in the field and, by the end of the second year they begin the practical part of the program. As a complementary applied part of their third year studies, the student can choose an additional study day, and complete the program with an organizational consultancy or personal coach certificate, as they wish. This is subject to the number of people registering for each of the enrichment tracks. Based on the same practical approach, the track is an advanced stage of being recognized by the Association for Development Management and Human Resources Studies in Israel, as another professional area offered to students, and which enhances their professionalism in the field.

What will I be able to do after I complete my degree?

Due to its unique structure, the degree allows the student, during his or her studies, and certainly on completing them, to choose from among a range of professional or academic career paths. Students who wish to continue their studies may study organizational consultancy, business management, organizational sociology, organizational psychology, work studies, etc. In professional terms they are able to fill positions in human resources departments or consultancy firms, and develop significant careers, either as salaried employees or as self-employed professionals.

We will be happy to see you join the students who have already made their choices, and help you to develop a meaningful career path based on a groundbreaking study course. We promise a rewarding student experience, a warm environment, and support throughout, both from the academic staff and from the administrative staff.

    Best wishes,

    Dr. Yariv Itzkovich
