The objective of the studies at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is to impart extensive, in-depth and practical knowledge in a wide range of different areas, and thereby to provide the students with the tools they need to cope with the challenges of the 21st century.
The needs of the region and the Israeli market are complex and, as such, the department study program incorporates academic content with an applied orientation, which touches on all spheres of Israeli society. This means that the program is tailored to the reality of today. The program trains students to gain a deeper organizational, systemic and social understanding. In the first year the students study wide areas of knowledge. This provides them with a wide educational base that enables them to make a more educated choice with regard to their fields of interest.
The students of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies select four out of six sections according to their areas of interest. Each section comprises theoretical and practical courses, some are compulsory and some are elective. Each student carries out research work (seminars) in two of the four sections he or she has chosen, and significantly extend their acquired knowledge.

The lecturer staff includes some of the best in the academic world, and at the college in particular. The lecturers are highly experienced both in their academic field and in the practical field.
The degree offers the graduates varied employment opportunities, from the economic-financial sector – banks, investment consultancy companies, etc. to organizational-social areas: informal education, social entrepreneurship, community centers, human resources, all areas of management, etc.
The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies accommodates study programs that are tailored to the needs of working people. In addition, students who achieve honors degrees can progress to advanced degrees.
