As part of the MA course Global Trends in Alternative Tourist Accommodations, led by Dr. Orit Unger, students recently visited the Sky Glamping site in Moshav Ramot in the Golan Heights. This unique field experience offered students a firsthand look at one of the most innovative and luxurious examples of alternative lodging in Israel.
Hosted by Omri, one of the site’s owners, the visit included an in-depth discussion on the establishment and management of the glamping site. Students gained valuable insights into the operational, design, and marketing aspects of running such an enterprise, as well as the broader trends shaping the alternative accommodations sector.
The visit was both enjoyable and educational, deepening students’ understanding of contemporary tourism models and providing inspiration for future professional paths in the field.
