A few words from the Head of Department of Water Industries Engineering

The global changes we are experiencing emphasize even more the great importance of smart and proper resource management, with a focus on water. The increase in the world population and the demand for additional clean water sources, combined with the climate crisis, compel us to plan and operate water resources efficiently, intelligently, and innovatively.

Since its establishment in 2002, the Department of Water Industries Engineering at Kinneret Academic College has set as its goal to be the main professional entity that shapes and leads the water industry in Israel and worldwide. This is achieved through professional training that integrates the engineering and scientific aspects required for water engineers.

Throughout its years, the Department of Water Engineering has successfully trained talented and leading engineers who currently occupy key positions in the local water market.

In recent years, we have seen an increasing demand for water engineers who graduated from the department abroad as well, and in this spirit, we are in the process of establishing a unique international master’s program in Water Industries Engineering. This program is set to open in the academic year 2022-2023 (October 2022).

The importance of the profession to Israeli society and industry increases as the world, and particularly Israel, faces a growing shortage of potable water sources.

The undergraduate curriculum in Water Industries Engineering, developed at Kinneret College, is designed to prepare engineers who can quickly integrate into the local and global water industry. The study program provides a comprehensive toolbox that enables the department’s graduates to fit into the industry in a wide range of roles and diverse work environments.

With us, you will find a young and vibrant department, where you will learn in a warm and supportive environment against the backdrop of the Kinneret scenery. I invite you to join us in the Department of Water Industries Engineering!
