B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies

The objective of the studies at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is to impart extensive, in-depth and practical knowledge in a wide range of different areas, and thereby to provide the students with the tools they need to cope with the challenges of the 21st century.

The needs of the region and the Israeli market are complex and, as such, the department study program incorporates academic content with an applied orientation which touches on all circles of Israeli society. This means that the program is tailored to the reality of today. The program trains students to gain a deeper organizational, systemic and social understanding. In the first year the students will study wide areas of knowledge. This will provide them with a wide educational base will enable them to make a more educated choice with regard to their fields of interest.

The students of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies will select four out of six sections according to their areas of interest. Each section comprises theoretical and practical courses, some are compulsory and some are elective. Each student will carry out research work (seminars) in two of the four sections he or she chooses, and will significantly extend their acquired knowledge.

The 6 sections include:
Economics
Organization and human resources
Education and family
Psychology
Criminology
Israel studies

The lecturer staff includes some of the best in the academic world, and at the college in particular. The lecturers are highly experienced both in their academic field and in the practical field.

The degree will offer the graduates varied employment opportunities, from the economic-financial sector – banks, companies that engage in investment consultancy etc., through to organizational-social areas: informal education, social entrepreneurship, community centers, human resources, all areas of management etc.

The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies accommodates study programs that are tailored to the needs of working people. In addition, students who achieve honors degrees can progress to advanced degrees.
