Yodefat was an unknown Jewish town in Lower Galilee in theEarly Roman period,three miles north of the Capitol city of Sepphoris, until the year 67 AD when it was the site of one of the longest,heaviest,bloodiest battle between Galilean Jews and the Roman army, and the first battle in First Jewish Revolt.
