Prof. Zeev Drory

Prof. Zeev Drory holds a BA in History and International Relations (Magna Cum Laude) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MA (Honors) in Political Science from Tel Aviv University. He holds a PhD from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, in Jewish History. His PhD dissertation, written under the supervision of Prof. Zeev Tscachor, was titled The Role of the Israel Defense Forces in the Establishment of Israeli society in Settlement, Alia, Absorption and Education, 1948-1953.

For more than ten years Prof. Drory was a lecturer in the Department of History at Ben-Gurion University. Between 2005 and 2006 he was a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Mediterranean Studies in London University’s King's College and St. Antony's College, Oxford. He has been the Executive Director of the Kinneret College since 2008.

Prof. Drory has published numerous books and articles, among them The IDF and the Foundation of Israel(Frank Cass, Taylor and Francis Group PLC, London 2004) and Israel’s Reprisal Policy, 1953-1956(Frank Cass, Taylor and Francis Group PLC, London 2004).
